5 months

Dear Caleb,

Hey little man. Remember when I told you not to grow up too fast? Well, here we are and you are 5 months old already!!

This last month you only gained about 2 pounds, but you are growing and changing every day. You can do so much more now than you could a month ago and with your cuirous nature and inablity to sit still, I know it won't be long before you are getting around all by yourself. In fact, just two days ago and then again today, you rolled over from your back to your tummy. You aren't quite sure what to do once you are on your tummy, so it makes me laugh, but I am still so proud of you!

Here are some new things that have been happening:

-went to your first softball game
-went to a "Mommy and me group" (that you slept through)
-helped Mommy and Daddy host a few BBQ's
-tried rice cereal 3 times. You still don't quite get how to eat it, but we will keep trying!
-started bringing your hands together
-can grab a toy and hold it
-went on shopping trips and walks
-started laughing, which is the BEST sound ever!
-also started screaming a very loud, very high pitched scream, NOT the best sound ever
-spent lots of time with family
-were very fussy a few days. Maybe teething?? Mommy's not sure
-slept through your first fireworks show
-went to Armstrong Woods with Grandpa, Grandma and Mommy
-went to several BBQ's and parties at friends houses (and of course, everybody loves you!)
-went to Dixon for a visit
-started holding yourself up when on your tummy
-can stand and "walk" with help
And of course, your big milestone of rolling over!

In grown up land, Daddy likes his new job and is doing well. He misses spending time with you, but when he comes home you give him big smiles and simply light up with joy. :) Mommy will be going back to teaching soon (sniff...sniff....) but we found a very nice lady who is going to watch you during the day.

We also have lots of fun things coming up for the rest of the summer, so get ready to make some memories!

I love you sweet boy. You make my life so much fun!
