8+ months

Dear Mason,

Man, I am terrible about keeping up with this. Here it is October 7th and you've been 8 months for 2 whole weeks already....proof 2 babies is enough for us, right?

This last month you made it through your first real and cut another tooth. That was the not so fun stuff.

The fun stuff was watching you roll and scoot yourself to wherever you wanted to go, watching you finally figure out how to crawl backwards and then, just last week, crawl forward. Now you are on the move and already pulling yourself up on everything. I think you learn from your big brother, who rarely stops moving. The funny thing is you are already getting into things Caleb never touched! You love the outlet covers, the cable box, the toilet....you are wearing me out already!

As long as you can see someone else in the room with you, you will play really well by yourself or with Caleb. You also still sleep like a champ. 10+ hours a night!

You have started eating finger foods. You shove the food in your mouth, which makes you happy, but is pretty funny to watch. You also eat 3-4 jars of baby food a day and bottles. Getting you to eat is not a problem at all! :)

Unfortunately with Daddy finishing jury duty, painting the outside of our house and beginning lots of other projects and Mommy still trying to figure out how to keep up with teaching, being a mom and doing the housework, we did not do many fun things. You love being in the backyard and watching Caleb play, but it's hard to keep you from eating the dirt/leaves/bugs, so we have mostly stayed inside. We still go to Grandpa and Grandma's a least once a week which is always fun.

A few new things for you this month were:
-eating finger foods. You LOVE Cheerios, puffs and bananas.
-crawling!!
-pulling yourself up to standing.
-going in the swing at the park
-taking a bath in the big tub
-riding in shopping carts
-screaming and "singing" at the top of your lungs

I love you happy boy.
Love,
Mommy

so fun!

Yum
